Permanent jewellery is custom-fitted, clasp-free jewellery that’s designed to stay with you, wherever life takes you. At Sovereign and Stone, we use 14k gold-filled and sterling silver chains, welded with care to create a seamless, durable finish. Whether you’re swimming, working out, or celebrating a milestone, your piece is made to last and move with you.
Each piece is lovingly crafted by me, Sam, using precise welding techniques to ensure both safety and quality. While these chains are designed for durability, they’re not indestructible. If your chain ever comes apart, we offer free repairs within 7 days of your appointment.
Where Is Your Studio Located?
Our private studio is located in Mount Sheridan, QLD, and the exact address will be shared in your booking confirmation. We also pop up at markets and events regularly—keep an eye on our Instagram or check our Events Page for upcoming locations.
What Are Your Chains Made Of?
We use 14k gold-filled and solid sterling silver chains that are hypoallergenic, nickel-free, and tarnish-resistant. With proper care, your piece can last for years while maintaining its beauty.
What Is Gold-Filled Jewellery?
Gold-filled jewellery is made with a solid layer of real gold bonded to a base metal, like brass. It contains 100x more gold than gold-plated pieces, offering the look of solid gold without the hefty price tag. With proper care, it resists tarnishing and is perfect for everyday wear.
How Long Does Permanent Jewellery Last?
With proper care, your chain can last as long as you’d like to wear it! While our dainty designs are durable, life happens—if your chain stretches, breaks, or needs adjusting, we’re here to help.
How Do I Remove My Permanent Jewellery?
If you ever need to remove your piece, simply cut it at the jump ring. Keep it safe, and we’ll be happy to re-weld it for you during your next appointment (re-welding fees apply).
Can I Add Charms Later?
Absolutely! Personalise your piece with charms, birthstones, or connectors at any time. Just book an appointment, and we’ll re-weld your chain with your chosen additions (fees apply).
Do You Offer Permanent Jewellery for Kids?
We are unable to weld jewellery for children under 12. For those aged 12-16, parental or guardian consent is required at the appointment.
How Do I Care for My Permanent Jewellery?
Caring for your jewellery is easy!
Wear it in water, but rinse it with warm soapy water after swimming in pools or the ocean.
Avoid harsh chemicals like cleaning products or alcohol-based perfumes.
Use a soft brush and warm soapy water to keep your piece shining.
With proper care, your jewellery will remain a beautiful part of your everyday life.
What If I Need to Cancel My Appointment?
You can reschedule or cancel your appointment up to 24 hours before your scheduled time. Failure to do so, or a no-show, will result in the loss of your $25 deposit, which is non-refundable but can be applied to another service.
How Long Are Appointments? Can I Bring a Friend?
Appointments are 15 minutes long to ensure a seamless and fulfilling experience. You’re welcome to bring one guest, but each appointment slot accommodates only one person. For group bookings of 5 or more, we can come to you—just reach out to discuss details.
Do You Offer Gift Vouchers?
Yes! Our gift vouchers make the perfect present. Purchase one online, and the recipient can redeem it for their choice of permanent jewellery. (Gift vouchers are not redeemable for cash.)
